Bristol City Museum and Art Gallery (Bristol)

Bristol City Museum and Art Gallery has an important collection relating to the major and historic city of Bristol.

It is situated in Queens Road.

The museum was founded by the Bristol Philosophical and Literary Society in 1823, and the art gallery was opened in 1905.

It contains many fine paintings, locally made glass and porcelain items, and even Assyrian reliefs.
