Witton Country Park (Blackburn)
Witton Country Park is a historic country park at Blackburn.
The main entrance is in Preston Old Road.
Witton House was a grand mansion in the Grecian style, and was home to Joseph Fielden. When Blackburn Corporation purchased the estate in 1946, however, they were obliged to demolish the house because of long dilapidation and dry rot.
The park covers 480 acres, with unspoilt woodland, parkland and countryside, and the Visitor Centre features a collection of horse-drawn carriages..
