Corporation Park (Blackburn)

Corporation Park is a historic park at Blackburn in Lancashire.

The main entrance is in Preston New Road.

The park was opened for the people of Blackburn in 1857, and covers 50 acres.

There is a triumphal archway with flanking lodges, a War Memorial with a formal garden of remembrance laid out in 1922, and a Victorian cast iron conservatory erected in 1900.

Two picturesque lakes have their islands still intact.

In addition, the park contains tennis courts and bowling greens.
