Blackburn Museum and Art Gallery (Blackburn)
Blackburn Museum and Art Gallery is an interesting museum and gallery in Blackburn.
It is situated in Museum Street.
The architects were Woodgate and Collcutt, and it was built in 1874. Niklaus Pevsner described it as "mildly Gothic with touches in the direction of Arts and Crafts".
The unique feature is the collection of Robert Edward Hart, featuring rare books and manuscripts, and especially coins, from around the world and dating back to the 6th century BC.
