Maritime Museum (Aberdeen)
The Maritime Museum is an interesting attraction at Aberdeen.
It is situated at Shiprow.
The museum is housed in the 16th century Provost Ross`s House, linked imaginatively by a glass structure to Trinity Church.
There are paintings, models of ships and drawings by shipbuilders, and a huge model of an oil platform.
In particular, there are displays about Aberdeen Harbour, on which both John Smeaton and Thomas Telford worked.
