Wallasea Bay

Wallasea Bay is a small settlement in Essex, on the South bank of the tidal River Crouch and on Wallasea Island, one of the larger of the huge number of islands in this extraordinarily beautiful part of Essex.

It is situated at the end of the road from Canewdon, which itself is 3 miles from the picturesque old town of Rochford. It is nearly opposite Burnham-on-Crouch, on the other side of the Crouch.

Wallasea Bay is a small port, importing timber from the Baltic, and a ferry runs to Burnham.
