Stevenage
Stevenage is a New Town in Hertfordshire, 28 miles from London.
The New Town was begun in the 1940s, and added on to the older town, now known as Old Stevenage, which was situated on the Great North Road.
St. Nicholas Church dates back to Norman times.
The Gordon Craig Theatre has a fine reputation.
There are a number of attractive old buildings in the Old Town.
