South Mimms
South Mimms is a village in Hertfordshire, 2 miles from Potters Bar, and close to the M25.
There are the remains of a Norman motte and bailey castle.
The mediaeval parish church has 16th century stained glass.
Dyrham Park and Wrotham Park are notable 18th century houses. The latter was built for Admiral Byng, who lost Minorca in 1757 and was shot for neglect of duty.
It is best known for its motorway services.
