Ryton-on-Dunsmore
Ryton-on-Dunsmore is a village on Dunsmore Heath in Warwickshire, 4 miles from Coventry.
The parish church is early Norman, with a 14th century tower.
Ryton Organic Gardens are open to the public, and encourage environmentally friendly gardening.
Ryton is the site of a police training college, opened in 1948.
Just outside the village is Knightlow Hill. It is here that the annual Wroth Silver payment is made at dawn on St. Martin's Day.
On Dunsmore Heath, legend says that the redoubtable Guy of Warwick slew the monstrous Dun Cow.
