Raunds
Raunds is a small town in Northamptonshire, 6 miles from Wellingborough.
For years, the main industry was footwear.
The parish church, mostly 13th century, contains 15th century wall paintings and a fine tower and spire, and there is an impressive cross shaft in the churchyard.
Nearby is an important archaeological site, with remains of a Roman villa,Anglo-Saxon church and mediaeval manor house.
