Raby
Raby is an estate in County Durham, just outside Staindrop.
It covers 200 acres of deer park, and is owned by Lord Barnard.
Raby Castle is mainly 14th century, and is one of the largest inhabited buildings in the land. This battlemented castle has nine towers and was once the seat of the powerful Neville family.
The Rising of the North, in 1569, was planned at Raby Castle.
