Ovingham is a village in Northumberland, across the River Tyne from Prudhoe. The correct pronunciation is Ovinjam.
St. Mary`s Church dates back to the Anglo-Saxon period. Thomas Bewick, the engraver, and George Stephenson`s mother are buried in the churchyard.
There is a Goose Fair held every June.
Ovingham is connected to Prudhoe by a narrow bridge.
