Menai Bridge
Menai Bridge is a small town on the Isle of Anglesey in North Wales, 2 miles from Bangor.
It takes its name from the handsome suspension bridge designed by Thomas Telford as part of his London to Holyhead Road in 1826.
In 1850,the Britannia Bridge by Robert Stephenson was added. This was badly damaged by fire in 1850, and rebuilt with a roadway above the railway line,
Church Island has an ancient religious site.
