Llechwedd
Llechwedd is a hamlet in North Wales, 1 mile from Blaenau Ffestiniog.
It was here that one of major slate quarries was situated, and evidence of this is all around with the enormous heaps of discarded slates that did not live up to the high standard.
Llechwedd Slate Caverns are a popular tourist attraction. Visitors are shown around the vast underground caverns.
Also on site is a famous zip wire attraction.
