Lelant
Lelant is a village in Penwith in Cornwall, 2 miles from St. Ives (Cornwall). It is sometimes known as St. Uny.
The village was once a little fishing port, but now encourages holidaymakers with its sandy beach, and there is a golf course.
St. Uny`s Church, the mother church of St. Ives, is in the Norman and Perpendicular styles, and has an 18th century sundial.
Nearby is the family-orientated Merlin`s Magicland Amusement Park, and also the hillfort at Trencrom Hill, which rises to 400 feet.
The novelist Rosamunde Pilcher was born at Lelant.
