Kelvedon Hatch
Kelvedon Hatch is a village in Essex, 3 miles from Chipping Ongar.
Being rather out of the way, the village was not supplied with gas or electricity until 1955.
The ancestors of Wilbur and Orville Wright, the American aviation pioneers, lived here.
Deep in woods outside the village is the Secret Nuclear Bunker, where during the Cold War government was to be kept open in the event of a nuclear attack.
