Huyton is a town in Merseyside (formerly Lancashire), 6 miles from Liverpool.
In the 19th century it became a residential area for wealthy Liverpool merchants.
The surviving village green has a cross.
There is a statue of former Prime Minister Harold Wilson, who was the local Member of Parliament.
The actor Rex Harrison was born at Huyton.
