Horndean
Horndean is a town in Hampshire, 4 miles from Havant and on the old road from London to Portsmouth.
It is on the edge of the South Downs and of the Forest of Bere.
Horndean was an old hamlet on a road junction, but grew from the mid 19th century.
The town is dominated by the enormous Gale and Sons Brewery, built in the 1860s.
Nearby is Butser Hill, where there is a modern reconstruction of an Iron Age village.
