Guernsey

Guernsey is one of the Channel Islands. It is the second largest, after Jersey.

It is about 25 square miles in size, and has many attractive sandy bays, as well as some high cliffs.

The capital of the island is St. Peter Port.

Along with the other Channel Islands, Guernsey was occupied by German forces during the Second World War, being liberated in 1945.
