Gosfield is an attractive village in Essex, 4 miles from Braintree.
St. Katherine`s Church dates from the 15th century.
Gosfield Hall is a 16th century house which was remodelled in the 19th century by the textile magnate Samual Courtauld. It was once the home of Louis XVIII of France.
Gosfield Lake, in the grounds of the hall, gives oportunities for water skiing, speed boat riding, camping and fishing.
