Emsworth
Emsworth is a small maritime town in Hampshire, beside the River Ems which is the border with Sussex and flows into Chichester Harbour. It is 2 miles from Havant.
It was a flourishing port until the 18th century, and smuggling was also rife. Today Emsworth is not only a yachting centre, but also a yacht building town.
There are two large mill ponds, each with a tide mill.
The parish church is 19th century.
Emsworth Museum was established in the 1980s.
P. G. Wodehouse lived at Emsworth, and two of his characters are Lord Emsworth and Lord Bosham (after a nearby village).
Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby is available to lead Guided Walks around Emsworth for groups.
