Downham Market
Downham Market is a small market town in Norfolk, on the River Great Ouse, and 10 miles to the South of Kings Lynn.
It was formerly famous for its horse fairs.
The old Market Place is adorned by a 19th century cast iron Clock Tower.
St. Edmund's Church stands on a high point overlooking the town.
Many of Downham Market's houses are built of the attractive local Carr stone.
The young Horatio Nelson attended school in the town.
Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby is available to lead Guided Walks around Downham Market for groups.
