Craven Arms
Craven Arms is a small town in Shropshire, 7 miles from Ludlow.
The town is named after the Craven Arms hotel on the main road, and grew up in the 19th century at a railway junction and road junction, where sheep were brought in by drovers from Wales.
There is a tall mileage pillar recording distances from towns many miles away.
The Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre is a popular tourist attraction.
