Camberley is a mostly modern town in Surrey, 6 miles from Bracknell. It was originally named Cambridge Town, but this was changed because it was causing confusion for the Post Office.
It is situated just beyond the Green Belt that rings London, among sandy heaths and pine woods.
Camberley has many connections with the armed forces, and the Royal Staff College is here, while the Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst is nearby.
