Brighouse
Brighouse is an industrial town in West Yorkshire, on the River Calder and 4 miles from Huddersfield.
There was a settlement nearby in the Roman period.
At the Industrial Revolution, it became a successful textile town.
It is probably best known today for the Brighouse and Rastrick Brass Band.
Two enormous silos have been converted into an indoor climbing centre.
Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby is available to lead Guided Walks around Brighouse for groups.
