Bridport
Bridport is a market town in West Dorset, 14 miles from Dorchester.
The parish church is mainly Perpendicular.
Georgian town hall where the two main streets meet.
Rope and fishing nets have been made here since the 13th century. A hangman`s noose was once known as a Bridport dagger. Some of the wide pavements were once used as ropewalks.
The town museum is housed in a 16th century house.
Charles II came close to capture here on his flight from Worcester.
