Bowood
Bowood is an estate in Wiltshire, 2 miles from Calne.
Bowood House is an 18th century mansion, which is open to the public. It was partly built by Robert Adam in the 18th century, and modelled on Diocletian`s palace.
The grounds, by Capability Brown, were laid out in 1763, and are among the finest in England. They include lovely gardens and a lake.
