Bovington Camp
Bovington Camp is an army site in Dorset, 6 miles from Wareham and surrounded by heathland, which Thomas Hardy called Egdon Heath.
The army has used the site since the First World War, and it is now a large camp occupied by the Royal Armoured Corps.
The Tank Museum has a remarkable collection of tanks, old and new, large and small, and also has walk through tableaux of the front line.
Nearby is Clouds Hill, the home of T.E.Lawrence.
