Bolventor
Bolventor is a village in Cornwall, 9 miles from Bodmin.
It was the only village on the old road running across Bodmin Moor, but has now been bypassed.
The Jamaica Inn was an important coaching stop in the 18th century, and inspired Daphne du Maurier`s novel after her visit in the 1930s.
Mr. Potter`s Musuem of Curiosity is a Victorian display of stuffed animals.
The mysterious Dozmary Pool is a short distance from Bolventor on the moor. Cornish legend says that this was where the Lady of the Lake gave King Arthur his sword Excalibur, and where the wicked Tregeagle was given the punishment of empting the pool with a limpet shell.
