Bodelva
Bodelva is a settlement in Cornwall, 3 miles from St. Austell.
The area has been extensively mined for china clay, giving an almost moonlike air to the terrain.
In one of the huge pits is the Eden Project. Opened in 2001, it is based on a series of biomes (enormous domes), allowing exotic plants to grow in a variety of conditions.
The largest of these, the Rainforest Biome, is the largest greenhouse in the world.
There are many ancillary exhibits and projects of an environmentally friendly nature.
