Winchester (A Coach Trip in Winchester)

"Winchester" is one of the very popular Coach Trips devised and led by the well known Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours.

These trips are an enjoyable way of soaking up some Local History.

The coach leaves St. Margarets Bus Station in Leicester at 8am, and is expected back at approximately 9pm.

Colin gives his usual commentary along the way, bringing to life the interesting sights and places encountered on the journey. This is one of the things that make Colin's trips unique.

Winchester, in Hampshire, is one of the oldest towns in the country. It dates back to Roman times, and preceded London as capital of England. The Great Hall contains the famous Round Table.

The trip includes a Guided Walk by Colin of this ancient cathedral city in his inimitable manner, pointing out many places of interest, including Winchester Cathedral, Wolvesey Palace, the Westgate and the Great Hall.
