Welsh Marches Tour (A Coach Trip in Herefordshire)

"Welsh Marches Tour" is one of the very popular Coach Trips devised and led by the well known Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours.

These trips are a very good way of learning some Local History.

This particular tour is around the border country where England meets Wales, widely known as the Welsh Marches.

The coach leaves St. Margarets Bus Station in Leicester at 8am, and is expected back about 9pm.

Colin gives his customary commentary en route, pointing out and bringing to life the fascinating places and sights that are encountered along the way.

It is this that makes Colin`s trips unique.

There are three stops on this tour, of approximately an hour each.

Ludlow is one of the finest small towns in England, with its delightful collection of black and white houses and its impressive castle ruins.

Hereford is a historic cathedral city and cider making centre on the beautiful River Wye, with lovely riverside walks.

Monmouth is an attractive Welsh town where the River Monnow meets the Wye, and is famous for its 13th century fortified river bridge.
