Surrey Hills Tour (A Coach Trip in Surrey)
The "Surrey Hills Tour" is a Coach Trip devised and led by the well known Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours.
These excursions are an excellent way of soaking up some Local History.
The Coach leaves St. Margarets Bus Station, in the centre of Leicester, at 8am and returns approximately 9pm.
This is an "Autumn Colours Tour", designed to show of the trees in their Autumnal finery of russets and golds.The Surrey Hills are a beautiful wooded area to the South of London.
There are three stops, of about an hour each.
Dorking is a pleasant old town with interesting shops and coaching inns.
Godalming has narrow winding streets and has the air of an old fashioned market town.
Guildford has a ruined castle and a magnificent modern cathedral high on a hill.
Colin gives his inimitable commentary as the coach wends its way along the route. This is one of the aspects that make Colin`s trips unique.
