Hexham (A Coach Trip in Hexham)

"Hexham" is one of the very popular Coach Trips devised and led by the well known Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours.

These trips are a most enjoyable way of soaking up some Local History.

The coach leaves St. Margarets Bus Station in Leicester at 8am, and is due to arrive back about 9pm.

Colin gives his customary commentary along the way, bringing to life the fascinating places and sights encountered along the route. This is one of the aspects that make Colin`s excursions unique.

Hexham is a very interesting old market town in Northumberland, overlooking the River Tyne. It has a long history, involving battles and an 18th century massacre by the militia.

As an important part of the trip, Colin leads a Guided Walk around Hexham pointing out many places of interest, including the historic Hexham Abbey, Market Place, and the 14th century buildings known as the Moot Hall and Manor Office.
