Haunts of Jack the Ripper (A Guided Walk in London)
"Haunts of Jack the Ripper" is one of the very popular Guided Walks in London devised and led by Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours.
These strolls are a first class way of soaking up some Local History.
Starting outside Fenchurch Street Station, the walk looks at the area where the City meets the East End. Jack the Ripper would certainly have known most of the streets involved, and may well have lived close by, so it is literally a case of following in his footsteps.
In some cases, the streets look remarkably similar to how they looked at the time of the ghastly murders of 1888.
The route will take in at least one of the actual murder sites.
Colin also leads a walk called simply "Jack the Ripper", which visits the scenes of all the murders.
