Haunted Theatreland (A Guided Walk in London)
"Haunted Theatreland" is one of the very popular Guided Walks in London devised and led by Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours, and of course it is a Ghost Walk.
These gentle strolls are an ideal way to soak up some Local History.
Colin lives in Leicester now, but in his younger days worked in London, both in the City and in the West End. His profession for many years was managing cinemas.
This particular walk starts outside the National Gallery, in Trafalgar Square.
Cinemas and theatres have long been renowned as spooky places, especially when all the customers have gone home, and many of those in London are especially so.
The route takes us around Whitehall, Covent Garden and the Strand, and of course some rather eerie side streets and passages.
Colin leads a number of other walks in London, those in a macabre vein including "Haunted London", "The Haunted Capital" and "Haunted Westminster",as well as the perennial favourite "Jack the Ripper".
