Derbyshire Dales Tour (A Coach Trip in Derbyshire)
"Derbyshire Dales Tour" is one of the very popular Coach Trips devised and led by Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours.
These excursions are a great way to soak up some Local History.
This is one of the trips that run on a Sunday afternoon, giving people the option of doing something, such as going to church of course, on the Sunday morning.
The coach leaves St. Margarets Bus Station in Leicester City Centre at 1pm, and should return at about 8pm.
Colin gives his usual commentary along the way, bringing to life the fascinating sights and places encountered along the way. This is one of the aspects that make Colin`s trips unique.
This tour takes in some of the lovely countryside, partly rugged, in Derbyshire and the Peak District, one of England`s famous National Parks.
There is a stop for a couple of hours at Castleton. This pretty little town, close to the border with Yorkshire, is famous for the huge cave officially called Peak Cavern, but known to locals as the Devil`s Arse, which is reached by a delightful path beside a stream.
The town is overlooked by the ruins of the Norman Peveril Castle.
