City of Leicester Tour (A Coach Trip in Leicestershire)

"City of Leicester Tour" is one of the very popular Coch Trips devised and led by Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours.

These excursions are an excellent way of learning some Local History.

This is one of Colin`s morning trips, which are suitable for everybody but particularly appreciated by people who would rather not be out all day.

The coach leaves St. Margarets Bus Station in Leicester at 9.30am, and returns about 2pm.

The usual format for these morning trips is that one stays on the coach for most of the journey, while Colin gives his inimitable commentary, but about halfway round, normally about 11.30am, there is a stop at a place of interest, where one can buy tea, coffee, cakes etc.

This particular trip stays very close to the City of Leicester itself, which is one of the oldest towns in the country, having been an important town in the Roman period and having links to all the important periods in English history.
