Chichester (A Coach Trip in Chichester)
"Chichester" is one of the very popular Coach Trips devised and led by Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours.
These excursions are an excellent way of soaking up some Local History.
The coach for this trip leaves St. Margarets Bus Station in Leicester at 8am, and returns about 9pm.
Colin gives his customary commentary along the way, bringing to life the fascinating sights and places encountered along the route. It is this that makes Colin`s trips unique.
Chichester is a lovely cathedral city in Sussex, very close to the English Channel. It was an important Roman town, and retains its Roman street pattern in the centre of the city.
The cathedral is outstanding, and the only one in England to have a detached mediaeval bell tower.
During the trip, Colin leads a Guided Walk, pointing out many places of interest, including Chichester Cathedral, the Market Cross, St. Marys Hospital and the City Walls.
