Cambridge (A Coach Trip in Cambridge)
"Cambridge" is one of the very popular Coach Trips devised and led by Blue Badge Guide Colin Crosby, of Colin Crosby Heritage Tours.
These excursions are an excellent way of getting to know some Local History.
The coach leaves St. Margarets Bus Station in Leicester City Centre at 8am, and is expected back at about 9pm.
Colin gives his inimitable commentary along the way, bringing to life the interesting places and sights along the route. This is what makes Colin`s trips quite unique.
Cambridge is one of the two most famous university cities in the country, if not the world. As in the case of Oxford, there are many different colleges, and most of them have a great deal of beauty architecturally.
In particular, King`s College Chapel is one of England`s best known buildings, and there is also a rare round church, known as Holy Sepulchre Church.
The lovely River Cam flows through the city, and past some of the colleges, creating an area known as "The Backs".
Colin leads a Guided Walk around Cambridge as part of the trip, pointing out many interesting places.
