Trip on the Llanberis Lake Railway
I recently went as a passenger on one of the Coach Trips run by Woods Coaches of Leicester. This is the company from whom I hire coaches for my own trips.
Being taken, and not having any responsibility, is pretty relaxing and enjoyable.
We left Leicester quite early in the morning, and travelled Westwards, making a coffee stop at the motorway services at Norton Canes.
Then it was on into Wales, travelling by way of Llangollen and the spectacular Llanberis Pass until arriving at Llanberis.
The highlight of the day was travelling on the Llanberis Lake Railway, the restored steam railway that makes a leisurely journey along the side of the lake and back, with wonderful views of Snowdon as a backdrop.
On the way back, we made a stop at Betws-y-Coed.
As always, I thoroughly enjoyed the day.
