The Great Trouser Thief
One of the great crimes has been unmasked in Japan, with the arrest of a trainspotter who had been systematically stealing trousers.
Police searched the home of Kenji Hishida, of Izumisano near Osaka, and discovered 10,000 pairs of trousers, along with hats, jackets and other items of uniform from railway and airline companies.
His original intention was to steal uniforms so that he could gain access to staff-only areas, which would obviously give him an advantage in his trainspotting activities.
But wouldn’t you think that nicking 10,000 pairs of trousers was going over the top?
I suppose it gives Kenji some sort of cult status.
