Robin Hood Theme for Coach Trip Worked Well
I led one of my morning Coach Trips from Leicester recently. This time it was the "Robin Hood Country Tour".
These morning trips are suitable for anybody, but particularly those people who do not want to be out for a whole day.
We left St. Margarets Bus Station as usual in the morning, and made our way up the old Fosse Way towards Newark, and then took a pleasant route through Southwell and parts of Sherwood Forest.
I always make sure that our halfway stop is somewhere where not only can tea, coffee, cakes etc be purchased, but there is also plenty of interest to be seen. This time, it was the splendid Rufford Abbey, with its abbey ruins and art gallery.
The return journey took us through more of the forest, and through the little town of Edwinstowe.
Everybody enjoyed it, as can be seen from some of the comments in my Visitors` Book, such as "a beautiful day out, very interesting", "Rufford looked good, will have to return later", "a very enjoyable day out in the Nottinghamshire countryside" and "another nice trip, Colin, your knowledge is astounding".
The next Coach Trip is "Bath", and the next morning one is "Old Mercia Tour", both in the next few weeks.
