Praise for Ross-on-Wye
I recently went on one of Woods Coaches trips to Ross-on-Wye.
Although I run plenty of these excursions myself, it is nice sometimes to be able to sit back and enjoy some of wonderful English towns and countryside without having any responsibility!
I went into St. Mary’s Church, and was struck by not only the qualities of the church itself, but also the friendliness and knowledge of the lady who was there to greet visitors.
Ross-on-Wye also has an old Market Hall in the town centre, the upper floor of which is now used as a Heritage Centre. I had visited this before, but was impressed all over again by the range of information and the way it is displayed. This is the best local Heritage Centre I have ever seen in any town.
So all in all, there’s a lot of praise for Ross-on-Wye. If people from the town read this, I hope they feel proud.
