Ninetieth Birthday Party

Anne and I went to Southend recently for a special occasion, a surprise party to celebrate my mother`s ninetieth birthday.

On the way, we met our daughter Gillian and her partner Daz, who had travelled up from Hythe while we were coming down from Leicester.

The party had been organised by my daughters Theresa and Angela, and was held at Play Football, a hall in Westcliff near where Theresa lives.

It was lovely to celebrate the occasion with my Mum, and also very nice indeed to chat to people whom I had not seen for many years.
