Lake District in the Autumn
I was able recently to have a look at what the Lake District is like in the Autumn.
I went on a Woods Coaches trip to Cumbria. I really enjoy going as a passenger on other people’s excursions.
Last year, I had organised a Lake District Tour as part of my Coach Trips programme. This was very popular – we stopped at Keswick, Bowness-on-Windermere and Kendal.
The recent Woods trip was similar, except that this time we were able to see the golden colours of the trees, instead of the sunshine of Summer.
We stopped at Bowness, Grasmere and Keswick. Beside the churchyard at Grasmere, a Wordsworth garden is being created. I’m sure this will be really nice when completed.
While at Bowness, I was able to go on one of the boat trips on the lake. Very nice too.
