Guided Walk in Coalville

I led a private Guided Walk recently around Coalville.

I had been asked to do this by St. Clare`s Roman Catholic Primary School, who share my belief that children should be encouraged to learn about the history and background of their own towns.

This was not the first time that I had led such a walk for this school, as I had done so a couple of years before.

We looked predominantly at the industrial history of Coalville, which did not exist as a town until the mid 19th century.

If you teach at a school, you might like me to devise something like this in your own area.
