Excursions
I visited the Excursions trade show recently.
This is one of the trade shows for people involved in taking groups to places of interest. I go to as many of these shows as possible every year, as they give an excellent opportunity for networking.
Excursions is always held in London. There have been a variety of specific venues over the years, but in the 2000s it has been held regularly at Alexandra Palace, high up on its hill with spectacular views across the city.
As usual, I talked to people from lots of interesting places, such as Colchester, Huntingdon, Peterborough, Salisbury, Stoke-on-Trent, Suffolk and Winchester.
And in addition I chatted to people representing the Bank of England Museum, Colchester Zoo, London Duckmobile, Opie's Museum of Bygones and the Thames Barrier.
Greetings to all these people!
I always find Excursions both enjoyable and interesting, and this year was no exception.
