Excellent Coach Trip to Barnard Castle
I took part as a passenger recently on a Coach Trip to the splendid market town of Barnard Castle in County Durham.
This was part of the extensive programme run by Woods Coaches of Leicester, the company from whom I hire coaches for my own excursions.
On the way Northwards, we stopped at Tibshelf Services, where I was able to stoke up on a good breakfast.
At Barnard Castle, I had a good look around the town, including the impressive castle and St. Mary`s Church.
On leaving the town itself, we were driven the short distance to the fabulous Bowes Museum. A wonderful treat in its own right, it includes the famous Silver Swan automaton, made in the 18th century, which we all watched perform.
On the way back, we stopped again at Tibshelf Services.
It was a very good day. I like Barnard Castle!
