Ding Dong Merrily on High
As Christmas is getting near, I recently gave my "Ding Dong Merrily on High" talk.
I had been asked to give this by the Leicester centre of the splendid National Trust, at a meeting at St. John the Baptist Church at Stoneygate.
This talk is always popular, giving the background to everybody`s favourite Christmas carols. Some were written by famous composers, some by famous poets, and some were written under unusual conditions.
If you have ever wondered, for example, how "Christians Awake", "Joy to the World" or "Silent Night" were composed, this talk will tell you.
I am always happy to give this talk (or any other, for that matter) to groups, so do feel free to get in touch.
